Rushmoor Stud is situated in the Maungatapere Valley south west of Whangarei. Maungatapere is known for its avocado orchards with fertile soil and volcanic stone walls. Rushmoor has a range of terrains from flat pastures to rocky outcrops and dense native bush ensuring that all horses are sure footed, careful and have encountered a large number of natural obstacles.

Rushmoor's aim is to produce quality coloured warmblood horses with versatility and temperament being of outmost importance.

All broodmares have been chosen on their conformation, breeding and temperament. Foals are regularly handled and undertake intensive training at weaning time so that they lead, tie, truck, accept a cover and have had their hooves handled.
