Mangaatua Casper

Rushmoor Stud is proud to present its exciting new resident stallion Mangaatua Casper, a rare cremello stallion of size and substance bred by the Mangaatua Stud in Woodville.

Being cremello Casper is guaranteed to produce coloured offspring ie palomino or buckskin. Further information can be found as to the likely colour of the offspring at colour genetics or by checking out dilute colour. As well as producing colour Casper has inherited three white stockings and a blaze (no longer visible due to his pale colouring) making it likely that his progeny will also have a lot of 'chrome'.

Casper stands at 16hh and was foaled in 2002. His sire is Legacy a 16.3hh palomino stationbred whose grandsire was the reknown Irish Draught Kingsway Diamond. Casper's dam is Moondust a 15.3hh buckskin stationbred mare who has thrown very much to her Clydesdale parentage.

Casper has inherited his parents' good traits being of medium to heavy bone and of sound temperament. He is easy to work with, enjoying any new experiences and is an absolute gentleman with the mares. Casper has been broken in as a youngster and it is intended that he continue his career under saddle in the forthcoming season.
